Program of the Tour:

 

Day 1 - Baku

• Arrival with evening flight
• Meet your guide at the airport, transfer to Baku
• Short night car excursion to "Baku Fires" with a tour of the main streets of the city under night illumination of prospectuses
• Welcome dinner in a traditional Azerbaijani cuisine restaurant with folk music (A la Carte)
• Transfer to hotel, accommodation at the hotel
• Overnight in Baku

Day 2 – Baku

• Breakfast in the hotel
• Departure from the hotel towards the Old Town
• Walking tour in the old town: visit the Maiden Tower (IX), Palace of the Shirvanshahs (XV), Caravanserai Multani and Bukhara (XV c.), Place of filmshooting the cult Soviet films : "The Diamond Hand", "Amphibian Man", "Tegeran 43" and so on. 
• Lunch in a restaurant in the Old Town (A la carte)
• Visit to the Alley of Martyrs to the see the Panorama of the city
• Descent by cable car to the Seaside Boulevard
• Walking tour through the Boulevard (at the request tourists can rent a bike)
• Boat trip on the Baku Bay (depending on weather conditions)
• Proceed to the Nizami street (shopping street in the past)
• Free time for shopping
• Dinner at the restaurant (A la carte)
• Transfer to the hotel
 

Day 3 – Gobustan

• Breakfast in the hotel
• Departure from the hotel
• Visit the Mosque Bibi-Kheybat, where was buried a sister of Imam Hussein (one of the main figures in Islam)
• Inspection of the first oil fields
• Visit Gobustan National Park (a World Heritage site by UNESCO) with a tour of petroglyphs of the Stone Age period
• Then we leave towards the country's western region
• Arrival in Naftalan, hotel accommodation
• Dinner (A la carte)
• Introduction to the healing properties of naphthalan oil
• Overnight in Naftalan


Day 4 – Shamkir - Ganja

• Breakfast in the hotel
• Departure from the hotel
• Visiting former German settlements of Annenfeld (Shamkir) and Elenendorf (Khanlar), built by German colonists from Baden-Württemberg, which were moved to the region by the Empress Catherine II
• Arrival in Ganja
• Lunch on the way (A la carte)
• A sightseeing tour in Ganja: Inspection to mausoleum of a medieval Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi,
Then the walking tour: visit the church of Alexander Nevsky, Church Aguan, Shah Abbas Mosque, Javad Khan Mausoleum in Ganja
• A visit to the Islamic Shrines of Imamzade
• Dinner at local restaurant (A la carte)
• Overnight in Ganja
 

Day 5 – Shaki

• Breakfast in the hotel
• Departure from the hotel to Shaki
• A visit to the mountain village of Kish, where there is the ancient Albanian church
• Hike to the castle "Gelersen Gёryarsyan" ("Come - You'll see")
• Lunch at a local restaurant with a tasting of PITI (meat dish of Sheki cuisine) - A la carte
• Walking tour to the old town of Sheki ("Yukhari Bash")
• A visit to the Palace of Sheki Khans (striking example of construction of the palace of late Safavid period)
• Visit to the Museum of Applied Arts of Shaki, located in the ancient Albanian temple.
• Visiting Sheki silk factory. Introduction to  the ancient methods of manufacture of silk fabrics.
• Visiting Sheki caravanserai
• Dinner at Caravanserai (A la carte)
• Overnight in Sheki
 

Day 6 – Shaki

• Breakfast in the hotel
• Departure from the hotel to Gabala
• A visit to the city of Oguz on the way
• Introduction to local synagogues in Oguz
• A trip to the village of Nij, visit Udi Church (Udins are direct descendants of the ancient Albanians, they have preserved their language and way of life, as well as professing Christianity)
• A visit to the ruins of the ancient Gabala (Chukhurkabala), the first capital of Azerbaijan
• Lunch (A la carte)
• Arrival in Gabala
• Accommodation in Gabala Qafqaz Karvansaray Hotel 4*
• Free time (optional tourist routes on the cable car to the ski resort Tufandag - 1660 meters above sea level, for extra fee)
• Dinner (A la carte).
• Overnight in Gabala.

 

Day 7 Ismayilli - Absheron

• Breakfast in the hotel
• Departure from the hotel to Ismayilli
• A visit to the village of Ivanovka (inhabitants of the village Ivanovka are Molokans, Russian Old Believers, resettled by Catherine II in Azerbaijan)
• Understanding the life of the Molokans
• Lunch in Ismayilli (A la carte)
• Moving to Baku through Muganli pass (photo stops in the most beautiful region of the Caucasus Ridge)
• On the way visit the mausoleum Yeddi Gumbez ("Seven Tumbes") in Shamakhi
• And the temple in the rock Diri Baba ("Living Grandfather"), the place where wishes come true
• Arrive in Baku
• A visit to the "Burning Mountain" (Yanardag), the place of Natural Gas release in the suburbs of Baku
• Dinner
• Overnight in Baku


Day 8 – Baku. Departure

• Drive to the Absheron Peninsula
• A visit to the worldwide famous temple of Zoroastrians - Ateshgah
• Drive to the village of Gala, a visit to the Ethnographic Museum Gala, culinary and craft workshops from local residents
• Lunch at local restaurant (A la carte)
• Visit Mardakan Towers
• Transfer to Baku
• A visit to the local Hamam (extra fee)
• Dinner

Day 9 – Baku. Departure

• A visit to the local market
• Free time in the market for independent shopping and tasting the local caviar (A la carte)
