A national budget carrier called "BUTA AIRWAYS" is being created in Azerbaijan

According to the press service of "Azerbaijan Airlines" CJSC, the new airline, called BUTA AIRWAYS, will be part of Azerbaijan Airlines and will become a 100% subsidiary of AZAL.

The airline will be based at Heydar Aliyev International Airport.

BUTA AIRWAYS will have its fleet based on the Embraer aircraft in its own color, its own staff and an independent tariff policy.

As noted in the message, given the complexity and specificity of the business of civil aviation, active work is currently underway to start the functioning of the budget airline.
It is expected that the first flights of BUTA AIRWAYS will begin in the autumn of 2017.

Large-scale work to reduce the price of air tickets is carried out on the behalf of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. Since March of this year under the brand AZALJET flights are being carried out along 13 popular destinations. The scheme of sales of tickets on these flights is close to lowcost airlines, that is, passengers are given a choice of individual services in the form of paid options.

At the moment, the base tariff for all AZALJET flights, including all taxes and fees, is only 49 euros. This is one of the most competitive prices among all airlines flying to Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan Airlines" CJSC hopes that the services of the national low cost BUTA AIRWAYS will appeal not only to the citizens of Azerbaijan, but also will increase the flow of tourists to the country.
